The Cominty app for HubSpot lets your Cominty agents work with your HubSpot CRM in plain language. Agents can:
  • Search and read contacts, companies, deals, tickets, and activities.
  • Summarize an account before a meeting, or list the open deals of a pipeline.
  • Create or update records, notes, and tasks, only after you confirm the proposed change.
Cominty uses the remote HubSpot MCP server, hosted by HubSpot at https://mcp.hubspot.com. Every action respects your existing HubSpot user permissions: the agent only sees and changes what your HubSpot user can see and change.

Before you start

  • You have a Cominty account on platform.cominty.ai. To share the connection with your whole workspace, you need to be a Cominty admin.
  • You have a HubSpot account, and a HubSpot user allowed to install apps (a Super Admin, or a user with the App Marketplace permission).
  • There is no OAuth client to create: Cominty provides the app, named Cominty for HubSpot in HubSpot. The connection uses OAuth 2.1 with PKCE.
Connect with a HubSpot user whose permissions match what you want the agents to reach. The agent never gets more access than that user.

Install the app

1

Open the integration

On platform.cominty.ai, open Integrations in the left menu. Search for HubSpot and click the HubSpot Official card.

Search for HubSpot and choose HubSpot Official

2

Choose who can use it

The HubSpot Official dialog opens. Under Availability, pick Organization to share the connection with everyone in your workspace (admins manage it), or Personal to keep it private to you.Under Configuration, the HubSpot authentication (HUBSPOTOFFICIALAUTH) is already set: there is nothing to fill in. You can fill in Agent configuration now or later. See Configure the app.

3

Click Connect. A HubSpot page opens: “Connect Cominty for HubSpot to HubSpot”. Sign in to HubSpot if asked.
4

Choose your HubSpot account

Select the HubSpot account to connect, then click Select account.

Review and approve the requested access

HubSpot lists what Cominty for HubSpot can access in your account:
  • Currently granted: the required scopes. Expand the section to see the full list (CRM records, activities, properties, owners, pipelines, conversations, marketing data).
  • Optional: extra scopes you can choose to grant, such as creating and editing custom objects, their properties and pipelines. Some optional scopes need a higher HubSpot subscription (for example Enterprise). HubSpot shows a lock and a tooltip when they are not available.
Review the list, then click Connect app.

Until the app is verified by HubSpot, HubSpot shows an “unverified app” warning and asks you to type a confirmation sentence before you click Connect. This step disappears once the app is listed on the HubSpot Marketplace.
6

Check the status

You come back to the Integrations page of Cominty. Open the HubSpot Official card again: the dialog shows a Connected badge. Click Test connection to check it.

Test it

Open a new conversation and ask: “Who am I in HubSpot, and which objects can I access?”
If the connection fails after you approve the access, or if you need help, reach out to hello@cominty.ai.

Configure the app

HubSpot questions often need context the agent cannot guess: your pipelines, your key properties, your conventions. Put them in the integration’s Agent configuration, once, instead of typing them in every message. The two fields do different jobs: Example for How to use it:
For the full model (what each field does, how the main agent and the sub-agent share the work, and how to write good instructions), see Connector instructions.

Use the app

There is no background sync. The agent acts only when a user asks it to, in a Cominty conversation. To point a message at HubSpot, type @hub and pick HubSpot Official from the menu, then write your request.

Read actions run directly. Example prompts:
  • “Summarize the company Acme: contacts, open deals, and last activities.”
  • “List the deals in the stage Negotiation that close this quarter.”
  • “Find the open tickets for the company Acme.”
Write actions always need your confirmation. The agent shows the proposed change, and nothing is written until you confirm:
  • “Add a note to the deal Acme Renewal with the summary of today’s meeting.”
  • “Create a follow-up task for next Monday on the contact Jane Doe.”

What agents can do

Available tools depend on your HubSpot subscription, your user permissions, and your account configuration. Main tools:

Limits

  • A search returns 200 results per page at most. A fetch by ID takes 100 IDs at most.
  • query_crm_data does not support joins, subqueries, or association traversal.
  • Search is based on the HubSpot CRM search API, without semantic search.
  • When HubSpot adds tools, new scopes may be needed: reconnect the app to grant them.

Manage the connection

Open Integrations → HubSpot Official at any time to:
  • Pause it: turn off Enabled (“Allow the agent to use this integration”). The connection is kept, but agents stop using HubSpot until you turn it back on.
  • Share it: click Move to organization to make a personal connection available to your whole workspace.
  • Check it: click Test connection.
From your code, you can turn the connection off for one message, or limit a thread to some connections. See Capabilities and the use case on connections.

Disconnect the app

1

Open the integration

On platform.cominty.ai, open Integrations and choose HubSpot Official.
2

Disconnect

Click Disconnect. The HubSpot access token is revoked, and the HubSpot MCP server is no longer reachable from Cominty.
What happens to your data:
  • Cominty agents can no longer read or write your HubSpot data.
  • Nothing is deleted in HubSpot. Records, notes, and tasks created through Cominty stay in your account.
  • Cominty does not sync or copy your CRM: agents query HubSpot live. HubSpot data quoted in past conversations stays in your Cominty history until you delete those conversations.
  • To request deletion of your data, contact privacy@cominty.ai. See our Privacy Policy.

Uninstall the app

Cominty for HubSpot is not installed inside your HubSpot account: it is an OAuth connection between Cominty and HubSpot. Disconnecting it in Cominty, as described above, is enough to remove all access. There is nothing else to uninstall. If you prefer to revoke the access from HubSpot, follow the HubSpot article Uninstall an app. The effect on your data is the same as disconnecting.
