# MCP integrations

> Connect agents to the tools your team uses through MCP servers

Cominty agents reach external tools (BigQuery, Slack, HubSpot, and more) through
[MCP](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) servers. Cominty hosts them behind a
single **MCP hub** at `https://mcp.cominty.com`.

Once an integration is connected to an agent, its tools are available to that
agent. You do not change any code. You can turn them off for one message with a
`McpScope`, keep only some connections, or fix the list for a whole thread with
`McpCapability(connections=...)`. See [Capabilities](/guides/capabilities) and
the [use case on connections](/guides/capabilities-use-cases#recipe-3-keep-some-connections-or-none).

## Connect an integration

<Steps>
  <Step title="Pick the integration">
    Choose it on [platform.cominty.ai](https://platform.cominty.ai). See the
    [integration guides](/mcp/integrations/bigquery) for provider-specific steps.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Register an OAuth app, if the provider requires it">
    Some providers ask you to register your own app first. Use the callback URL
    from [OAuth callback](/mcp/oauth-callback).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize">
    Sign in with the provider and approve the access. Cominty stores the token
    and the agent can call the tools.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Tell the agent how to use it">
    In **Agent configuration**, say when to use the connector and how. See
    [Connector instructions](/mcp/connector-instructions).
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Info>
  Does the provider restrict access by IP? Allowlist the MCP hub address listed
  on the [Static IP addresses](/guides/static-ip) page.
</Info>
